Update – June 2025 – Great news for travelers! Thailand is still offering the 60-day visa-free stay for citizens of many countries, including Italy and most of Europe.
At present, visitors entering Thailand under the visa exemption scheme can stay for up to 60 days, with the option to extend for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office. This allows a maximum stay of 90 days without needing a tourist visa.
Earlier this year, the Thai government announced its intention to reduce the visa-free stay to 30 days as a way to prevent misuse of the policy. However, no official date has been set for this change yet.
✅ Current status (as of June 2025): Visa-free entry: 60 days Extension available: +30 days Maximum total stay: 90 days
