ED Visa Support – Study Thai Legally in Thailand

Many students begin their journey to Thailand with a tourist visa, then convert it to an ED visa. Alternatively, it's now also possible to apply for the ED visa before arriving in Thailand.

Visa Options Before Starting Your Course

Option 1: Visa Exemption (30 Days + 30-Day Extension)

• For citizens of 93 countries

• Initial stay: 30 days

• Extension: Additional 30 days at local immigration (Koh Chang or Trat)

• Total stay: Up to 60 days

Option 2: Tourist Visa (60 Days + 30-Day Extension)

• Apply online before arrival at www.thaievisa.go.th

• Initial stay: 60 days

• Extension: Additional 30 days at immigration

• Total stay: Up to 90 days

Note: As of May 2025, visa exemption has been reduced from 60 to 30 days due to new immigration policies.

Option 3: Apply for ED Visa Before Arrival

• After registering and paying for the Full Program, we provide official MOE documents

• You can apply for the ED visa at a Thai consulate in your home country

• Enter Thailand directly with an ED visa (no conversion needed)

Full Program (ED Visa Eligible)

Only students enrolled in the Full Program are eligible for our ED visa support. The Full Program includes:

• Roots of Thai – 3 months, 3 weeks (120 hours)

• Lotus Path – 4 months, 3 weeks (150 hours)

• Voice of Siam – 6 months (190 hours)

• Total: 14 months, 2 weeks – 460 hours of Thai lessons

This is the only program that qualifies for the 15-month Education Visa.

Step-by-Step: Convert Your Tourist Visa to ED Visa

1. Contact us and book your seat at Siam Speak

2. Enter Thailand with a tourist visa or visa exemption

3. Visit our office in Koh Chang, register, and pay the full course fee

4. We prepare your ED visa documents and submit to the Ministry of Education (2–4 weeks)

5. Complete fingerprint check at Trat Immigration (we assist you)

6. Convert your visa to ED visa at local immigration office

7. Extend your ED visa every 90 days (we help with each extension)
